The Bogu bag is exactly what I was looking for and exceeded my expectations. Takes all the equipment required which is full Bogu, kendoji, hakama. Additional pockets for spare items e.g himo, water bottle and a nice addition of a pocket for phone, pens, paper and books etc. Cannot praise more highly and although more expensive than some bags is of very high quality and does the lot. Brilliant! Also, you can carry with a top handle or wear it like a haversack so if walking or riding a bike to dojo is very comfortable with nice padding.

I was tired of my old, somewhat impractical, heavy and cumbersome bogu bag, so this backpack was more than welcome! And I like it very much so far, it's bigger than it looks, I can easily put in and take out my bogu (quite average size, on the slimmer side though) but also the rest of my stuff (e.g. 1L bottle). I think the price is justified by the very well-thought-out design and the overall quality. And it looks nice and sturdy! Plus impeccable service and packaging as always. Thanks KS!

Ich habe den Rucksack jetzt einige Male benutzt. Er ist gut, könnte aber etwas größer sein. Mein Do passt nur hinein, wenn ich ihn „eng mache“ also die Himo binde und ihn dabei zusammen drücke. Was dann natürlich für den Men echt knapp wird. Es passt dann gerade noch alles ineinander. Ich bin weder groß noch dick. Für große Frauen oder Männer wird es nicht passen. Dafür ist er definitiv zu schmal. Es wird sich zeigen, ob die Reißverschlüsse dauerhaft halten. Die Nebenfächer sind okay. Ein großes Außenfach für die Trinkflasche wäre gut, die zwei Fächer die dran sind, sind nur für schmale, flache Dinge nutzbar, da der Rucksack prall gefüllt ist, werden sie quasi platt gedrückt. Eine gute, ausreichend große Tasche fürs Kendo zu finden, die sich auch noch gut tragen lässt ist leider schwierig. Dieser Rucksack ist leider auch nicht die perfekte Lösung.

An extremely comfortable, premium and stylish bag that, surprisingly, is able to snugly fit my large bogu (I'm 1.98m, 95kgs). Pros + Seemingly well made (used for 3 weeks so far) + Premium feel + Lots of pockets and side compartments + Love the white/black colour +++ Extremely comfortable when walking and cycling Cons - Very tight fit for my bogu, takes a while to put it away - Not fully waterproof in the bottom pocket. My hakama got a little wet after cycling in the rain. - No convenient room for a water bottle; the side pockets are too narrow. - My kendogi don't fit nicely into the bottom pocket, despite this being an obvious place for it (again, your mileage may vary if you are much smaller). In short, I would recommend this product but just be wary of its drawbacks. It is more spacious than some others have claimed, but if you have a particularly wide do then you may struggle.

Great Kanmuri quality, I've had the Kanmuri shinai bag for years and it still looks almost as good as new despite my not so gentle handling. The bogu bag obviously shares the same excellent build quality. It is a relatively small backpack which is great if you are looking to save space, both for easier handling on your back or just chucking it in the trunk of your car when multiple kendoka are traveling together and every inch of storage space counts!
