How we collect reviews

The reviews on kendostar.com are written by our customers. This page explains where they come from, how we check them, how we reward them and which reviews we publish.

Where our reviews come from

  • Order emails. After your order is delivered, we email you to ask how it went. A review written from that email is linked to your order and shows the Verified badge: “This review was collected from a verified customer who purchased this item.”
  • Product pages. Anyone can use the “Write a review” button on a product page. We cannot link these reviews to an order, so they are marked as written by a site visitor.

How we reward reviews

A review written from our order email that includes at least one photo and is at least 50 characters long earns 500 KendoStar loyalty points, enough for a £5 voucher. The reward is the same whatever rating you give and whatever you write.

We never ask for a positive review, and we never offer anything to change or remove a review. A verified review with a photo will usually have earned points. Before 22 October 2026, customers who added a photo or video to a review received a 10% discount code instead.

Which reviews we publish

We publish every review, positive or negative, as long as it:

  • is about the product, or about your experience of buying from KendoStar;
  • describes your own experience and uses your own photos;
  • contains no offensive language, no personal details of other people and no links;
  • is not written by KendoStar staff, their families or anyone paid by us.

We do not edit reviews and we do not hide low ratings. Our average ratings include every published review. We sometimes reply to a review publicly, and the reviewer is emailed when we do.

How we prevent fake reviews

We link order-email reviews to real orders, watch for unusual patterns such as many reviews from one person in a short time, and remove reviews that break the rules above. When we remove a review, ratings are recalculated.
