The BUSEN SENPU & SENOH Washable Kendo Uniform Set brings together two highly practical and refined pieces from the KendoStar IMPORTED SERIES. Combining the BUSEN SENPU STC Orizashi Kendogi with the BUSEN SENOH Washable Kendo Hakama, this set offers a smart, traditional appearance together with the convenience of modern easy care materials.

The SENPU Kendogi uses advanced STC Orizashi fabric made from 100% polyester yarn, giving it the appearance of traditional Kendo wear while remaining breathable, highly absorbent, machine washable, and resistant to shrinkage. Its S shaped front stitching, curved sleeve construction, and centre back seam are all designed to improve comfort and freedom of movement in regular Keiko.

The SENOH Hakama complements it perfectly, offering a more refined and dignified overall impression while still being easy to care for. Also made from 100% polyester, it is designed to evoke the look and feel of a traditional #7000 Aizome style Hakama, with a smart silhouette and a more substantial, elegant character in wear.

I have always been a cotton guy, which sadly does not really work in my favor living in a hot and humid tropical country. I've tried the old waffle gi, kirari-zashi type of gi, and others kinds of "cooler" cotton gi. All of them are good options that had some trade offs, making them fall short from becoming my perfect everyday keiko kendogi. I was already OK settling with a good quality thinner/cooler single layer kendogi but here comes Kendostar with an alternative that caught my eye. The SENPU synthetic kendogi is thicker, and generally of a better quality than your usual jersey style kendogi. It is not as cool, but cool enough for the hot and humid SEA weather. In the picture (left to right a premium double layer kendogi, premium single layer kendogi, lighter single layer kendogi, SENPU) you can see the SENPU looks right at home with other cotton kendogi. It's very hard to tell the difference. The fact that this is washable and easy to maintain is a huge plus. The SENOH hakama is of a thicker and heavier material than other tetron hakama I have tried and used. Definitely has a cleaner and more dignified look to it. Does not have "pleat-lock" on the visible edges of the pleats, but has "pleat-lock" in the inner edges of the folds making it easy to fold and maintain even after washing. 10/10 for me. Would definitely buy another pair to cover all my daily keiko needs.

Super agréable à porter, le kendogi est léger et comfortable. Le hakama est assez épais mais léger à la fois. Le pliage est super facile. L'ensemble a été lavé et ça a séché rapidement. Hâte de porter cette tenue en entraînement.
