Not as useful without the dvd or video demonstration (unfortunately not sold by Kendostar). And there's no analysis of the forms included in this booklet, nor anything resembling theory, method, or insight beyond a single-page foreword (explaining the aims of this training routine). Is it worth the price? I would argue no, because it's a massively missed opportunity to present a working textbook of these basic forms, just like we have of the Kendo Kihon Kata (there's a number of books out there for those, such as, Looking At A Far Mountain- Revised edition by Paul Budden). Andy has commentaried the Japanese AJKF video of these bokuto kihon katas on YT that's worth checking out.

Great service and a great bokk The service was prompt and fantastic as always, arriving only a couple of days after ordering. The book it self is pretty informative, and whilst it is mostly pictures with brief descriptions, it really helps to reinforce my learning at the dojo.
