Original KendoStar Ultimate All-Purpose Shinai
A reliable, well balanced, all-purpose Shinai designed for Keiko, Shiai, beginners, experienced competitors, and teachers alike.
The Original KendoStar Ultimate All-Purpose Shinai was created to be the one Shinai you can confidently use in almost any situation. It is designed to feel light and manoeuvrable without becoming too tip-light, giving it the balance needed for fast, repeated attacks while still allowing a solid, satisfying strike.
Made from select cuts of Madake bamboo and fitted with quality leather parts, this model is a dependable choice for regular Keiko, Shiai preparation, seminars, grading practice, and long-term training.
Single All-Purpose Shinai
This product includes 1 x Original KendoStar Ultimate All-Purpose Shinai, fully assembled and suitable for all-round use.
Handle diameter of size 39 is approximately 26mm, not including leather parts.

Designed to Be the Perfect All-Purpose Shinai
This Shinai has been designed to perform well in both regular Keiko and Shiai. The balance is intended to make it feel easy to use and quick to move, while still retaining enough presence at the tip to avoid weak or scrappy striking.
It is suitable for multiple attack Kendo, sharp footwork, and fast exchanges, while also giving a solid feel for Kendoka who prefer powerful one-shot techniques.

Balanced Without Encouraging Light Hitting
The aim was to create a Shinai that feels responsive and easy to use, while still encouraging strong, committed, correct Kendo.
Quality Bamboo, Carefully Selected
The four staves of this Shinai are cut from quality Madake bamboo, a bamboo species traditionally valued in Japan for Shinai making. It is known for durability, responsiveness, and the solid feel it can provide when striking.
Actual Shinai appearance may vary slightly. Please inspect and maintain your Shinai regularly before and after Keiko.
