A suburiko. It does the job, increases the intensity of suburi - your shinai will feel like a feather afterwards. Will not come off during practice.

Simplify training
A great device to help with the form and strength while cutting. Big Men cuts with this can fatigue your muscles and highlight weaknesses in form. A very useful addition to my home training kit. Recommended.

Build muscle on the cheap
A cost-effective method to a shinai into an effective suburi tool. It attaches easily and remains firmly in place. This has greatly aided me in building up the strength to use a shinai for prolonged periods of time in the dojo and at home.

Great for a cut-down shinai!
During lockdown, many of my students wanted to know who could they train kendo indoors without damaging their ceiling! A cut-down shinai was the suggestions, but the weight of the short-shinai was an issue. This suburiko was the answer to add some weight to the short-shinai! Great product at a great price!

Assists with suburi
This helps a lot with suburi, even in the dojo. It doesnt move during swinging and is easy to put on and take off.

Perfect for warm up Suburi
I waited 2 week with my review to test the Suburiko in Training. The result its an perfect addition to warm up Suburi and when you remove it your Shinai feels like a feather. Its easy to attache and detach from an Shinai.
I can realy recommend it to everyone

A cost-effective solution
I got this to see if it could replace a suburito. It is similar in the sense that it creates a weighty shinai, but it is nowhere as nice as an actual suburito. HOWEVER, for the budget-conscious kendoka who NEEDS to do suburi with a heavier shinai, this is a cost-effective solution. A world of warning, be sure to check your shinai for any splinters before putting this one.
