This tsubadome is an upgrade in every aspect to a standard tsubadome. It's grip on a Shinai is very strong, so it holds the tsuba in place very well. The design is elegant and quite subtle. The red version's color is a bit deeper then shown in the picture and the sakura design is more silvery rather then white. Personally I think this tsubadome looks better in real life. I'm really glad with this purchase and I highly recommend this product!

Lovely, functional
Very high quality tsubadome, your tsuba won't budge. The flowers have a bit of a shiny, silver finish. The black bit in the middle is made out of rubber that adapts to your handle.

Beautiful, functional
I bought this for my second youngest student. Kendo gear tends to be fairly masculine and this seven year old both disliked the plainness of her shinai and that the dome just did not stay well on the thin tsuka. The tsuba solved both problems. It works perfectly and it's really pretty. In fact, my own daughter took one look at it and decided she needs one for her tsuba too!
