I order the lucky bundle every year and I always hope for new shinai, bogu parts, or uniform pieces. This year, got a nice new kendogi, but also a really high end shinai bag and ceremonial tsuba. Absolutely met the value promised, but not as useful as the past few years. Maybe suggest asking for the rank of the kendoka to provide gear that is more useful from the beginner to senior levels.

A good lucky bag experiance overall, as with any lucky bag there is the risk of getting items you don't really need, which unfortunately for me we're the main expensive things I got, however I still got the value I paid and then some in useful items, even if some are just upgrades or spares.
All in all I would say if you don't have specific things you are looking for and you have £250 burning a hole in your pocket it's absolutly worth a shot!

£ 500 of stuff for £ 250. What's not to like!
Took the plunge and ordered one of these. A bit apprehensive because of the mystery nature, but VERY pleasantly surprised by what came. All useful stuff and of the high quality that one comes to expect from KendoStar. I'm actually quite envious because I bought this for my wife!
I am in the United Kingdom, but very swift service from start to finish. Ordered on Friday and in my hands by the following Tuesday.

Finally a suprise birthday present
The day came round quick this year when my son puts his hands in my pocket to by my birthday present.

Let's just say normally suprise presents from kids is pants and sock.

Christmas came in early
I felt back again like a little kid opening his Christmas gifts when I received this! The experience was quite fun, I got exactly some of the items I wanted the most and some great goodies I'll be using for sure.
Great value for the money and a fun experience on top of it! I highly recommend this for new practitioners who expect to stick with kendo for the long run.

Great value for money, but keep in mind that as it is a lucky bundle no one can guarantee what will be in it. I would break the contents in two categories. First category is the stuff you wanted and you got, second category is the stuff you didn't know you wanted but really want now that you got them. Not sure which of the two categories i liked most.

Christmas in August
I took this bundle to support kendostar, who made me want to start learning kendo, and to start acquiring my own equipment. My order arrived in less than a week. Fortunately because I was dying to find out what was in the bundle. Like the reviews below, I will keep the content of my Kansha Fukubukuro secret :) But I can tell you that the content is just amazing for the price. Thank you very much Kendostar.

Pretty good set
I bought this with the mindset, "I trust what KendoStar has to offer and they won't screw me over. I want to support what they do." I love everything I got. I think if you imagine a senpai/Sensei sending a care package after you gave them money to buy stuff it will help temper your expectations. I can tell the set was packed with care and thoughtfulness.
That said, if you're the type that likes very specific things a specific way, this is probably not the package for you. I honestly don't know if each package is the same or different, but the individual parts of the whole are pretty great.
Oh and the shipping from UK to the west coast of the USA was less than a week. I'm still blown away by how fast it got here.
