#11,000 Gokujouhin Seiaizome Hakama

The Prestige KINBOSHI Kendo Hakama is made from premium grade #11,000 Sei-Aizome Gokujouhin fabric. It presents a smart and dignified look, while offering the unmistakable character of genuine indigo dyed Kendo wear.

The Hakama also features stitched inner pleats, helping make care and folding more manageable after Keiko.

Important Aizome Care Note

Because KINBOSHI is dyed with genuine Aizome, the colour will bleed. The indigo dye may rub off or stain objects, other clothing, and the wearer’s body. This is a normal and natural feature of genuine Aizome Kendo uniforms.

Please take care when washing. We recommend hand washing separately in cold water, without soap or detergent.

‘KINBOSHI' - Double Layer Kendogi & #11,000 Hakama Prestige Uniform Set

Exzellent! Gi und Hakama sitzen perfekt. Sehr gute Verarbeitung, der man die Hochwertigkeit ansieht und fühlt. Satte Farbe, sehr edel. Beim ersten anprobieren natürlich ein ausgeprägtes „Schlumpfsyndrom“. Die Farbe blutet sehr stark aus. Die Hände sind blitzblau, aber auch wieder leicht abzuwaschen. Habe die komplette Uniform (zusammengefaltet in einer Wanne) mehrmals kräftig kalt gespült ( mit etwas Essiggabe zum Fixieren) und dann glatt und tropfnass aufgehängt. Trocknung dauert gut 2 Tage. Danach (mit Stoffauflage!) dampfgebügelt. Sieht aus wie frisch geliefert und die abgenähten Falten vom Hakama liegen top. Der Stoff färbt jetzt etwas weniger ab. Angeblich soll eine Essiggabe bei jeder Wäsche das noch weiter verbessern. Insgesamt TOP! Langlebigkeit wird sich zeigen, ich erwarte da aber keine Überraschungen. Noch ein Tip zur Passform: Ich bin 1.79m und normal gebaut. Habe aber den Gi nach den Maßen der Grösse für 1.70m - 1.75m, also Grösse 3,5 bestellt. Dort passten die Maße besser zu meinen. Hat funktioniert, der Gi passt genau. Man sollte also besser nach den Maßen gehen und die dazu aufgeführte Körpergröße ignorieren. Der Hakama passt wie gemessen genau.

High Quality but Pricy :-) Just bought this amazing gi and hakama set. It is of a very high quality - not a stitch is wrong and the fabric doesn't seem to get much better. That said, it's still a bit of an expensive investment. On the other hand, if the set lasts for the next several years, it's a fabulous investment at a fair price.

Great value! Was due to renew my "Sunday Set" for upcoming gradings and such. Between the amazing price, crazy fast shipping, great attention to details in the packaging and overall quality of the experience, it's easy to forget to mention the actual product, which is of great quality. The Gi looks amazing and is super confortable and the hakama simply looks regal and fits perfectly. So, yeah...no brainer here! :)

Absolutely love it I tried on the gi and couldn't take it off for hours. I would happily wear it everywhere I go. It's material is very soft on the skin, but also does a great job at softening missed strikes. The hakama is firm and beautiful. I'm very satisfied with this uniform set.

Other's have said better than I, but this set is amazing. I can't help but reiterate what everyone's saying here, the word 'prestige' just fits this hakama and gi perfectly. ‘KINBOSHI' - Double Layer Kendogi & #10,000 Hakama Prestige Uniform Set

'Prestige' is definitely the word I've been using this uniform set for around two months now. The kendogi is nice and thick yet I don't feel it's too hot. Saying that, I've mainly used it in the cooler months so far. Two initial washes seemed to get rid of enough excess eye in order not to make me look too blue. It also soaks up sweat well. I love the hakama! Some may feel that #10,000 (or above) is too thick and feels like you're wearing a heavy cardboard hakama - but I love that! I actually like a little more stiffness than looseness. Surprisingly not so much dye escaped during its initial washes, but it'll no doubt lose more dye the more it gets washed, as expected. It holds its pleats really well too. Although I've started to keep this uniform set for gradings and seminars etc, for regular practice in the future I'd be tempted to pair this hakama with the new SAMURAI BLUE kendogi. That would give me the nice, heavier-feel hakama I want but also the advantage of being able to quickly wash the kendogi. And, as always, excellent service from Joseph and Andy!

Prestige Quality I already bought the awesome 'GAIA' set from Kendostar for the everyday training but needed something more “traditional” for special occasions like gradings or seminars. Andy was super helpful regarding the correct size and the embroidery. The set arrived fast and the quality is nothing less than awesome. Wearing this set is a great experience, it’s a bit heavier than the GAIA set of course but still very comfortable and not too warm. The embroidery on both Hakama and Gi looks fantastic as well. I washed the set a couple of times und it only bleeds a minimum. This is a great set I can highly recommend for Kendoka, that are looking for that classic appearance and for special occasions like gradings.
