Useful Washing Note

If washing using a washing machine, we recommend a delicate setting. For best results, place the Hakama inside a washing net or old pillowcase.

The gi is very comfortable and the quality seems to be very good. It's really light compared to my cotton gi and the hakama is really easy and quick to fold thanks to the pleat-lock stiching. I have washed in once in the washing machine (I have worn it only twice) and it took only a second to be dry and the pleats remained perfect. A unique point is strange to me : the colour. It's supposed to be deep navy but it's so dark that it seems almost black, but it's not really a problem. It has a nice appearence and I love wearing it. I recommend it. Thanks Kendostar !!!

Ordered the Kachi "elite" kendogi and hakama set with custom embroidery. I was expecting a long wait, but the order arrived much faster than expected! Having always trained with entry-level kendogi and hakama, the difference is unbelievable. Both pieces are incredibly light, it almost feels like I’m wearing nothing at all. Despite that, the quality is outstanding; everything about them looks and feels premium. This set is going to serve me well in training, future gradings, and tournaments. My son and I have been using Kachi kendogi through our hot, humid summer, and now got a Kachi kengogi/hakama set for my wife, as she is starting kendo. Fabrics quality, colour, fit, and easy to use is just great, especially for everyday keiko. I see a Kachi hakama for myself in my near future… As always, Kendostar customers service deserves five stars on their own merit.

Amazing customer service, due to my own error I had to change the order quickly after it's been placed and the reply came within an hour. Shipment arrived with fixed size and on time. Great set for practice and hot time. Pros: - Gi feels so smooth and soft I could wear it at home. - Hakama is all stitched, you can just throw it in the bag after training or in the washing machine and it’s folded perfectly afterwards. Cons(super minor nitpicks): - The colour is almost black rather than dark blue - Size guide didn’t work for me (186cm tall). Size 28 fitted like a curtain, 27 was just right.

It's very light and looks newly ironed and fresh. I have another set I've had for 3 years, and it still looks very fresh. Hakama still has sharp folds because they're sown. It's very nice for most occasions, but due to being synthetic fabric, it doesn't breathe very well and doesn't soak up sweat. When I need some extra warmth or sweat absorption, I put on something under.

Lieferung erfolgte super schnell. Insgesamt passt es auch gut (bin 180 cm groß und habe die Größen 4 und 27 bestellt) allerdings wäre eine Nummer kleiner fast besser gewesen, denn es fällt doch verhältnismäßig groß aus). Bin aber insgesamt zufrieden und kann den Shop sehr empfehlen.

I love the feel and softness of the fabric of this set, though it is very static. You have to get some heat and sweat going for this to go away. Also, the middle pleat in the front does not fall straight when wearing the hakama. It slightly bends backwards giving a bit of an awkward look in my opinion. The hakama needs to be worn like a skirt (the front and back are on the same level) for the pleat to fall naturally, but then you don’t wear it properly. It’s a great set but I am a little bit dissapointed in how the hakama looks when worn.
