From your first practice to your first day in Bogu, this complete bundle gives you the core equipment needed to begin Kendo training with confidence.

Step confidently into Kendo with one complete bundle, from day one practice to full Bogu Keiko. You will receive a Shinai, uniform, carry bags, and our Original KendoStar VANGUARD Extra Protective Bogu. Optional Bokken upgrades can also be added if required by your Dojo or instructor.

Recommended Extra Shinai

We strongly recommend adding a spare Practice Shinai, especially for beginners. Shinai naturally wear with use, and having a second one ready means you are not left unable to train if your main Shinai becomes damaged or needs maintenance.

Bokken Options Available

Bokken are available as optional add ons, so you can choose the option that best matches your Dojo requirements.

  • Basic Bokken, suitable for Bokuto Ni Yoru Kendo Kihon Waza Keiko Ho and Kata practice
  • Deluxe White Oak Bokken, a higher quality option with a more traditional feel

Tsuba and Tsubadome Included

The included Shinai will come with the appropriate Tsuba and Tsubadome. Any additional Shinai or Bokken ordered with this set will also come with the appropriate Tsuba and Tsubadome, so you have the correct fittings needed for use.
