Tasuki (Mejirushi) - Competitor Ribbons
£ 10.00 GBP
A striking Sumi-e style depiction of Miyamoto Musashi wielding two swords, alongside the Japanese text of his Dokkodo (独行道). Bold black brushwork and vivid red accents bring the design to life against a white background.
Often translated as “The Way of Walking Alone”, Dokkodo was written near the end of Musashi’s life and sets out his personal principles for living. Its themes include discipline, independence and freedom from unnecessary attachment, offering an insight into the philosophy of one of Japan’s most famous swordsmen.
Made in Japan. Length: 100cm. 100% Cotton.
