Originally purchased this as a slightly longer version of the Daito but discovered it is more the boat oar weight so we won’t be using this as originally planned, but so glad we purchase it and are using this for training in a way we were not sure we were ready for (very excited to have it and excellent quality).
Nice Suburi bokken
This bokken is perfect for practice arm strength. After done suburi with this bokken for a while you will have no problem swinging shinai ever again.
It is the perfect weight
I like how it is balanced, you get a workout out of it.
I put lindseed oil on it to darken it and because I like the smell of it.

I have been using this suburi bokken for a few months now and it has been fantastic, cannot recommend more. I have had issues from other companies with the handle being oversized (even for someone with large hands) large to add extra weight, but this feel great and comfortable to swing, once, twice or a hundred times.

This it the first suburi bokken that i have ever owned, but i really love it. The wood is nice, shape is straight and it really feels good and solid in hands. It is heavy it first, but when you get used to the weight and after many suburies pick up shinai, it feels so light that is unbelievable. One word of warning tho who ever first starts using it, do not hurt yourself, especially wrists and be wary of shoulders, and try to keep them down. Would definitely buy it again if the need rises, really nice piece of equipment.
