Super light bokken
It is soo light, unusual feeling. Really helped me when I injured my wrist. Highly recommend

Tellement léger
Vraiment léger. Extrêmement formateur pour bien balancé la répartition de force. Nécessite un haut niveau de concentration. Très belle outil d'apprentissage

Great for form practice
it is like holding a balloon swinging suburi. very good to check posture and form and to practice footwork.

Precision Work
Imagine adding a laser pointer to a rifle and then noticing how much "play" there is in your aim, that little dot is all over the place like a fly confused by a window. Then learning how to relax your grip, reposition your shoulders and breathing more deeply and calmly. After some dedication that dot stays in one place when you take aim.
This Bokuto does that for your kendo. I was taught recently that the long term idea is to use this for suburi and to work towards the Kensen being as perfectly still as possible at the "strike point" (in mid air).
Because this bokuto is so light (151g) any extra strength in the grip causes the kensen to waiver at strike point, so thus a much much lighter grip (right hand) is encouraged. It will take work and time, but this is perhaps the most important training tool for kendo that I can think of recommending.

Good for Suburi
Extra light and very good for Suburi. But you should avoid any contact with anything, because the bokken is really brittle

Love at first use
This kiri bokken creates a very interesting suburi experience. I have only practiced with it twice and have already identified aspects of my footwork and swinging that I need to work on. I look forward to folding this into my regular at-home practice.

Great addition
Makes a great addition to your suburi toolkit. It’s a strange feeling being so light but does help with cutting in a single movement.
