First received them in the lucky bundle this year and now my go to shinai for practice, testing, and competition. Great feel in the hands and definitely helps with hasuji. Only issue is they seem more prone to cracking than round shinai. Broke two since January.

I ve used different style of Shinai over the years, only bought one per style and decided this style of grip is my favourite. onece I lock my mind on this, I decide to invest my money by buying set for future prove. as price will only goes up in the future. and also, if you only have one and then it breaks, it's not guarantee there always in stock when u need it.

Great Shinai
I bought these after my first shinai broke. The oval grip is very comfortable, and was very helpful for improving my posture.
These are also very durable, having easily handled me hitting men-gane a lot, and the shinai to shinai strikes that are common as a beginner.
I would recommend these to anyone looking for a new shinai, but remember that once you get the oval grip, you can't go back!

Très bon Shinai. Peut être une tsuka a revoir
Faire un retour objectif sur un shinai est plutôt difficile; Car le retour se fait surtout en fonction de différences inter-individuelles (shinai déjà possédé, façon de le tenir, morphologie (des mains notamment), avancement technique, etc).
Le shinai est de très bonne qualité. Il est très bien équilibré (pour un shinai standard). La poignée donne la sensation de tenir un bokken ou un sabre, ce qui facilite la bonne tenue et "donne" plus de "conscience" sur l’orientation de la partie supposé être tranchante.
Cependant le diamètre est trop petit a mon gout (la référence 26mm étant dans la hauteur pas la largeur) ce qui rend difficile le fait de bien serrer avec les « deux petit doigts » gauche la tsuka, le shinai se balade un peu entre ces deux doigts surtout quand on met du rythme en travaillant en grand.
D'après mon resenti, vraiment un très bon shinai mais une tsuka un peu trop fine dans la largeur.

Durable shinai
I've been purchasing packs of 3 shinais in this store since November 2017 and so far the experience has been positive. I acquired a set of IZUMO (no longer on sale), also oval, that lasted a year or so. Now I've bought the TOUKON set and so far they have lasted well.
I don't see much difference between the two sets, they are easy to use and feel light but each person has a different preference for shinais so it would be nice if there was an option to buy individual oval shaped shinais (or any shape actually) so people could give it a try to experiment new types of shinais.
