Great suburi shinai
This suburi shinai is great! Such a good quality and balance. I am very happy with it - no more excuses to skip daily suburi at home XD

A must have
As the title states, this is a must have suburi tool for anyone with the means. The full length oval grip sits nicely in the hands and even though it's much shorter than a standard shinai, the response and feedback you receive is still very good. It pairs very well with the short Furisen (which I also own and it's just as amazing). With this you have no excuses not to train!

Perfect at home Shinai
Since the lockdown doing suburi was always very difficult especially with the ceilings just slightly on the low side where my shinai/bokuto would skim the ceiling. This shinai has been nothing but helpful and a godsend since the lockdown - it's got some weight to it which will force you to exercise more control in your grip, as well as your swings.
If you're a Jodan Kendoka you'd really benefit from this Suburi as this has a quite good weight to help build up your wrist strength for Katate swings/waza.
Unlike the Furisen which I've used, this one just feels a lot higher quality, and I definitely think anyone who wants to practice suburi at home with low ceilings should get this.

Excellent for indoor Suburi
As always perfect service and great quality equipment. I always use an Oval grip shinai so this is perfect for me. This shinai is the perfect length for indoor Suburi and has a really nice balance to it.

Perfect for me all around
With my left hand being broken several times over the past few decades. The oval grip sits perfect to hold & control the shinai for me. While my home has vaulted ceiling and is not a problem during suburi, the length is perfect to take to work and practice during down time at my job when permitted. I even had a co-worker strike up a conversation about the shinai showing interest.

Perfect for suburi indoors.
I love the weight and balance of this shinai. I can fully swing big suburi besides my low celings.
Totally recomended for home practice

Great
Because of the situation we have zoom-dojo and one of my senseï told me monday that it was a good shinaï for practice... I ordered it, and I got it on thursday for my next training (magic KS)
I think that the 650gr and the oval grip is really great, it is not to heavy (like the 1kg) but it is heavier than a shinaï... then you feel super easy when you use it again
Thanks Kendo Star !

A bit expensive but great!
A really good suburi shinai. Feels a bit heavier than a regular shinai but not in an excessive manner.
A bit expensive, but still a reasonable purchase because I'll only ever need one - and it avoids damaging the ceiling or hitting a lamp by accident.

Perfect for home practice
This is a very good tool if you have a low ceiling and/or little floor space.
The little shinai is small enough so you don't hit stuff or the ceiling while also doing footwork indoors.
It is slightly heavier than a normal shinai but not so much that it feels like lifting weights. The feel is very close to a regular shinai.
Recommended for practicing indoors!

Suburi at home
After doing suburi at home and punishing quite a few lamps I decided to give this suburi shinai a try and so far I have only good things to say.
After I started using this shinai I'm yet to strike either ceilings or any lamp once. So far it's a really nice feeling to finally be able to do suburi without constantly looking up if I'm not about to hit something that I shouldn't. In addition to that, additional weight is not too noticeable and it feels almost like a regular shinai which is a really good thing and being used to oval grip on my nito set, this really feels close to home.

Birthday gift
So wanted to try out the new oval shape grip and also get some home practice in.
The Suburi Shinai came in the post quick and well protected.
Good strong quality with a good practice weight,
Finding the grip shapped like my trusted bokken feels at home in my hands.
Sad to see it wrapped up and have to wait a few day for my birthday.
My son will always buy the best presents and glad he found Kendostar to buy them from.
