Kenshiro Matsuzaki - a 4th year student at Tsukuba University - was crowned as the 2021 All Japan Men's Champion, after his close defeat in the finals of the 2019 edition of the tournament.
Although we often look to the final matches of such prestigious tournaments, it can also be interesting to watch the eventual champions progress throughout the tournament, and in particular their first match of the day.
Many experienced competitors will often say that the 1st match is the hardest, and in the 2021 edition of the tournament, Matsuzaki was paired with Yuji Ko, a well know player from Japan's corporate 'Jitsugyoudan' circuit.
