I bought two bottles of this lovely shinai oil and its aroma is really good. I haven’t used it yet because I have a little of my old supply to finish off but I’m sure that, as with all KendStar products, this will be good for my shinai.

Don’t forget these:
A high quality oil purpose made to use on shinai to help maintain the bamboo
Directions for use:
- Disassemble shinai and check for damage and splinters
- Use a small amount on a paper towel or dry cloth and gently apply to each individual stave
- Wipe off any excess oil with a dry cloth or paper towel.
- Let it sit for 24 hours or until the staves are dry to the touch.
- Make sure to properly reassemble shinai before use, making sure that it is properly tied and that the chigiri (metal plate) is connecting the staves

Great but expensive oil Bought this great oil. Add nice deep color and sent to the shianis. When smell (and taste) the oil it´s very similar to pure walnut oil. If the oil is nothing but pure walnut oil and not contains any other speciel ingridents? - I think it is a little expensive. If it contains other special ingredients I will gladly rate the product with 5 stars.
Seems ok Been using this oil for 2 times, smell quite good, bottle design enable for u to using like eye drop.
Excellent shinai oil This shinai oil is great quality and the small bottle makes it very useful for travel and use at tournaments, seminars and events. Much more convenient than some other brands that I’ve used!
