SEIRAN has been developed to offer Japanese construction, practical protection, and long-term durability at a more accessible price than many traditional made in Japan, hand-sewn Bogu options. This product is for the Tare only, and does not include Men, Kote, or Do.

This product includes the SEIRAN Tare only. It does not include Men, Kote, Do, Himo, Chichikawa, or Tenugui unless these are specifically selected or added separately.
Made to Order Production Timeline

About the SEIRAN Tare
The SEIRAN Tare features full Orizashi construction reinforced with premium synthetic deerskin. This gives it a durable, attractive, and practical finish suited to regular Keiko.
The Tare is hand-sewn using the HI NO MARU Series construction method, giving it a carefully finished Futon with a firm yet comfortable feel.
The Tare panels feature Gunome-zashi stitching, adding shape, elegance, and durability while helping the Tare maintain a clean, traditional appearance.
What “Hand-Sewn” Means in the HI NO MARU Series
In the HI NO MARU Series, “hand-sewn” means that each individual Futon is sewn using a sewing machine without mechanical guides. This allows the craftsperson to skilfully apply each row of stitching with careful control of tension, thickness, and feel.
This method gives the Tare a more carefully finished construction, with a level of attention that helps improve durability, comfort, and overall quality.
