About This Special Same Do
This is a rare and one of a kind Do, combining the practical comfort of a lightweight Fiber Do-Dai with the striking appearance of genuine Same. The Brown Tame colouring gives the Do-Dai a rich, refined look, while the rough Ishime texture creates a bold and highly distinctive finish.
The Mune is made from genuine Aizome leather and features Bishamon stitching, along with a hand embroidered Kamon. This gives the Do a strong traditional character, while still keeping it practical and wearable.

Important Note About Genuine Same
Genuine Same is a natural material, and each piece is unique. Slight imperfections, variations, and natural texture differences are normal, and are part of the character and quality of the material.
The rough Ishime finish is coarse and can receive marks from the Shinai more easily than a smooth Do-Dai. For this reason, this Do is recommended for general Keiko and occasions where the Do is not repeatedly struck in the same way as during Uchikomi practice or repeated Do Waza practice.
Please take this into account before ordering, especially if you are looking for a Do for intensive repeated striking drills.
