[KENDO FLASHBACK] - High-School Age Hidehisa Nishimura Gyokuryuki Matches

Hidehisa Nishimura is undeniably one of the most successful competitors of recent times. A two-time winner of the All Japan Championships, he will once again represent Japan at the upcoming World Kendo Championships later this year.

In this video, we see a young, high-school age Nishimura, as he competes in what is perhaps the largest High School tournament in Japan - the Gyokuryuki. Visibly smaller than many of his opponents, he uses a variety of techniques to achieve victory in his matches. :
