The Men is stitched using 'Gunome-zashi' to give optimum durability and shaping, and further, is finished with Fukuro-nui, for a neat appearance. A light weight, IBB Dura Mengane (protective cage) is used, which features reinforced in the strike zones, for extra durability. The Uchiwa (face padding) is made using antibacterial fiber, for increased hygiene and fast drying.

The Kote are feature a Yakko reinforcement at the fists, increasing durability where the Kote make contact with those of the opponent. The wrist joint is made using an original cut, which is extremely flexible, whilst also being very durable. The palms are made using toughened synthetic leather.
