These great value Jissengata Shinai feature a large 'Dou' section, placing the balance close to the hands, and narrow to a fine light, tip. This makes them very easy to maneuver, and perfect for multiple, sharp strikes. Excellent for tournaments use, this style is the choice of many of Japan's competitive Kendo practitioners.
Select the appropriate size for age/gender.
This is a Keichiku Shinai - Keichiku is the most common material made for Shinai production, and it is a species of Bamboo that is native to Taiwan. It is comparatively flexible and gives a slightly elastic feel to your strikes.
